We’ve seen this couple before when they were blowing bubbles. Now we get to see the happy couple as they continue their exploration of Kyoto.

I love this “tradition” of couples dressing in Kimonos and touring the streets.¬†Aside from clearly being fun to do, I think it places history front-and-centre in people’s minds. Seeing these young people (and sometimes the not-so-young) enjoying themselves by dressing up, parading and being photographed is almost like a reminder or how Japan once was and what it should try to remain.

Perhaps other cultures could learn from it.
