Inside Bath Abbey

Whilst I do not count myself as a “fan” of organised religion, Christianity has given us some incredible architecture. This is from Bath Abbey in Somerset. Constructed around 1100, the Cathedral is an imposing building as so many are, designed to make you gape in awe at the wonder of the religion. Inside, however, it’s a playground of light and architectural styles as rebuilding, extension and gifts have evolved the original building to suit newer tastes.

Regardless of your political or religious views, a visit to the Abbey is essential if you find yourself in Bath.
